I sincerely hope your mission thrives. The Church these days seems overly intent on preaching politics and battering its members with ultimatums and threats instead of focusing on the messages of love, forgiveness and daily sacrifice that convert followers from the inside out and are therefore more effective in the long run!

You know the tide that says engage in any kind of behavior you want and still get to teach in a Catholic school? That one.
ReplyDeleteI understand that in the Catholic Church of today she would loose her job. But in the Catholic Church of tomorrow in which we believe as Jesus did to accept all, she would continue to be a valuable part of the Catholic school community. God does not make junk as the saying goes. He makes as we are and we need to embrace that and accept all.
ReplyDeleteGod does not make junk, but people screw themselves up with sin. That is why Jesus told people to go and sin no more.

Being gay or lesbian often isn't a choice, it's genetic. So, I think that they aren't sinning, because they aren't "junk" and they're living their God given life. It's us who try to create laws about how others should live and behave who are sinning by assuming we know what God thinks.
