Eastering

 Eastering means bringing life from death.  So Easter is a time of death and then three days later, resurrection.  People in recovery are Eastering people.  That is, they have hit a bottom that feels like almost the end of their life and then surrendered to their Higher Power.  Then they are raised to a new life they could not obtain on their own power.  They then seek through the steps, meetings, fellowship to become more fully alive.  Christians are supposed to be doing this by sacramental gatherings, community and outreach to others who are still suffering a lack of a full life.  So ask yourself, “What am I doing today to live the full life that is offered to me.”  Become an Easter person.
