It is called a “God wink.” Things happen, or take place that people might call a “coincidence.” But many people who pursue a spiritual practice, know that it is God, Higher Power, at work. It is not hearing voices or having wow moments or a deep meditation, but rather just a quiet “Oh,” I got the wink. Someone is in charge and it is not me. A moment for gratitude.

I love those moments and I missed them when I wasn't in recovery. I'm grateful for each sober bonus day to notice them and for what they mean. ❤️

ReplyDeleteI have also experienced those striking experiences when "but for the grace of God" I would not have been alive! Those are lightning-strike moments!
