Stick to your path. If you are going to meditate, then do it every day. Ultimately, all we can control is our continuity, our daily practice. My running coach preaches consistency. Run on a regular basis. Don’t worry about any one run, slow/fast, easy/difficult. Just show up and run. Wanting to run does not matter. If I only ran when I wanted to run or meditated only when I felt like it, or “needed” it, I would get nowhere. Sloth is one of the seven deadly sins. This I know from personal experience.
