Weeds grow fast. Plants grow slowly. It is like the spiritual life. bad behavior is a weed. Once it starts, it grows fast, so I have to check on myself daily. Good behavior, virtue, grows more slowly. It takes work to repeat good behavior especially if it is new. Bad behavior seems to have its own engine. I participate in the gardening of my heart. I work with my God, Higher Power.
