Goodbye Mansion

Seems the Bishop of a $2.2 Million mansion has decided to sell it.  He said that the church has changed.  Does this mean that before Pope Francis it was OK for a bishop to live in a mansion in an upscale community?  I thought Jesus had no place to lay his head.  I cannot be too harsh.  I have a lot more running stuff than I really need.  I could use a walk-in closet.  They come with mansions don't they?

  1. I don't think you need to worry about your running stuff. At least you use it . How often does that bishop use those 12 bedrooms? At a time when we are being asked to contribute to take care of elderly priests and nuns(which we do), it seems that Jesus would want the bishop to invite some elderly priests to come and live with him.

  2. Hypocrites!. What type of man would even want the mansion? He must be really full of himself, I'd fire him; just kick him out of the flock, like they do with other sinners.
Maybe collect some property taxes on all those assets? Just sayin....

  3. Do all Arch-Bishops have a blank check? Corporate greed is bad enough, but how sad for this man. Is anyone overseeing these bishops and cardinals? It sure is hard to drop my dollar ino the basket on Sundays.
