I have heard it said to me and others, that if we are good, God will take care of us. Well, I have been bad, and God took care of me anyway. Being good does not press a botton on God to act a certain way that benefits my self-interest. Find another reason, not so self-serving, to be good.

I sincerely hope your mission thrives. The Church these days seems overly intent on preaching politics and battering its members with ultimatums and threats instead of focusing on the messages of love, forgiveness and daily sacrifice that convert followers from the inside out and are therefore more effective in the long run!
